Ghislaine El Alami is an Associate at Emerging Capital Partners (ECP) based in Casablanca. With seven funds and over $1.8 billion under management, ECP is a leading private equity manager focused exclusively on Africa. Headquartered in Washington DC, ECP has six offices across Africa and a ten-year track record of successful investment in companies operating in over 40 countries on the continent. Prior to joining ECP in 2008, Ms. El Alami worked for BNP Paribas in Paris where she was involved in the structuring of new funds investing in leveraged buyout transactions along major European private equity firms.
Prior to that, she served as an analyst within Merrill Lynch Investment Banking Division. Ms. El Alami has been involved in advising large companies for various cross-border assignments including mergers & acquisitions advisory, initial public offerings and debt financing. Ms. El Alami graduated from HEC Business School in Paris with a major in Finance. She is a citizen of France.
