EMERGING CAPITAL PARTNERS REALIGNS MANAGEMENT TEAM TO ENHANCE AFRICAN PRESENCE

Vincent Le Guennou, Hurley Doddy Appointed Co-Chief Executive Officers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 1, 2010 – Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), a leading private equity firm investing across the African continent, announced the appointment of Vincent Le Guennou and Hurley Doddy as co-chief executive officers as part of a management realignment that will better position the firm to continue its expansion across Africa. As part of the transition, Thomas Gibian will become ECP chairman and will continue to participate in investment decisions as a part of the Investment Committee as well as contribute to the firm's capacity to add operational value to its portfolio companies.

In their new positions, Mr. Le Guennou and Mr. Doddy will be headquartered in Tunis and Washington D.C. respectively, representing the firm's commitment to further bolster senior executive presence on the African continent. Mr. Le Guennou is an expert in investment strategy and has worked at EMP Global, Saur Group, a former affiliate of the Bouygues Group, and Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricite. Mr. Doddy's background includes significant experience in overseeing investments, managing operations in emerging markets and creating arbitrage and convergence strategies at EMP Global, Sumitomo Finance and Salomon Brothers.

Mr. Le Guennou, ECP's former executive vice president, and Mr. Doddy, who served as ECP's chief operating officer since 2005, have more than 47 years of combined experience and have worked together for ten years. Along with General Counsel and Managing Director, Carolyn Campbell, who has nearly 20 years of industry experience, they will remain on the firm's Executive Committee and Investment Committee, be responsible for the oversight of the operations of the firm's funds including the formation and implementation of strategic and organizational developments and manage key relationships with shareholders and portfolio companies.
