Emerging Capital Partners (ECP) is proud to announce that it has been awarded Exit of the Year, for its divestment of Societe d’Articles Hygieniques (SAH), as well as Portfolio Company of the Year, in both the Social Impact and Development categories, for its work with Eranove, the holding company controlling several concessions in the water and electricity sectors in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.
The awards, presented at the third annual Private Equity Africa’s Deal Summit and Awards ceremony in London on the 5th of June 2014, recognize the industry-leading quality of ECP’s private equity exits, as well as the firm’s commitment to supporting growth and building value in its portfolio.
This year marks the third annual Private Equity Africa awards, which exclusively celebrates the achievements of GP Investors and Advisors in 2013.
Accepting the awards, Andrew Brown, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at ECP said, “These distinctions are a strong validation of ECP’s investment management capabilities. We have 7 offices throughout Africa and over 70% of our investment professionals hail from 12 countries on the continent. Our strong on-the-ground presence not only allows us to develop strong proprietary deal flow and to better evaluate new opportunities, but mange closer relationships with our portfolio, helping them to create value and realize their growth ambitions. We are very proud to have this recognized through such a rigorous selection process and will continue to deliver an award-winning service to our investors and portfolio companies in the coming years”.
